Asheida & Friends
Local singer-songwriter Asheida (vocals, piano) shares her original music and voice, accompanied by Rob Inglis on darbuka drums. The synergy between their playing and heart-filled sound leaves one enchanted and inspired. Asheida has been composing for over 20 years, is a voice instructor, voiceover artist, and has been a piano instructor since 2010. You can find her teaching at the Roundhouse and her studio. Rob Inglis has been playing darbuka (Arabian drums) for 15 years and is a member of several Vancouver groups. His drumming skills cover a wide range of musical skill and is a perfect touch to this musical journey!

The Cambridge Street Combo
Join Annie Baley (stand up bass, vocals), Cathie Best (keyboards, vocals), Dean Jackson (guitar), and Michael Morrison (guitar, vocals) for their fun take on ballads, blues, swing and standards from the American song book with some jazzy bits thrown in.

John Pippus & Friends
Born in Winnipeg, based in Vancouver, John (vocals, guitar) tours regularly in The Netherlands, Ontario, and around BC. His original songs are played on radio stations around the world and in Vancouver on LG104.3 FM. John invites a changing line-up of musical friends to join him for each Roundhouse performance.

“The Vancouver  bluesman lives and breathes his musical muse” – Francois Marchand, The Vancouver Sun
“Pippus has the kind of vocal timbre that is at once charming and appealing.” – Jeff Monk, Uptown Magazine

The Lawless Firm
The Lawless Firm is an acoustic trio playing an eclectic mix of 30s and 40s standards, a little country, Hawaiian, calypso, and some good ol’ rock n’ roll. With multi instrumentalists Michael Dunn and Joe Bourchier providing backup to lead singer Eleanore, the group performs music from romantic ballads to upbeat swing—a little of everything.

Soda Crackers
Steeped in rootsy rhythms, panfried in traditional country and bluegrass, then stewed in a gumbo of blues, jazz and western swing, the Soda Crackers are the perfect accompaniment to any event. The Soda Crackers are: Sue Malcolm (vocals, guitar), Don Fraser (vocals, guitar, resophonic guitar), Stu MacDonald (bass vocals)

Stringz Aloud
The Stringz Aloud Trio is composed of Susan Vigneux (guitar and vocal)s, Don Kellett (guitar, mandolin and steel guitar), and Joe Bourchier (bass). Since 2008 the group has been performing at a variety of public venues (coffee houses, small clubs and farmers markets) as well as private functions around the Vancouver area. They play a variety of tunes ranging from swing and gypsy jazz to Brazillian choros and Hawaiian tunes, performed on acoustic and amplified acoustic instruments. The members of the group also perform in other groups in Vancouver area, as well as teach music and are involved in Vancouver’s Co-op Radio station CFRO 110.5 FM.

Raincity Swing
Bass player Annie Bailey, along with guitarists Michael Morrison and Terry Hoffman make up Raincity Swing. They’ve been playing together for more than 10 years, beginning as students in the community-based Moveable Music School. Their repertoire includes classic swing tunes from the Great American Songbook and beyond. In addition to the Roundhouse Community Centre, the Thursday Jazz Trio plays at the Trout Lake Community Centre, as part of its Music on the Bow series. Their constant goals: play good music, make people happy.
