Join the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Society in reviewing the past year, including performances by our members. Following the presentation, you’ll have a chance to mingle and connect, while enjoying light refreshments and live music. Featuring:
BrightStars Performing Arts: Jordan Thomson, Founder of BrightStars Performing Arts, has been teaching at the Roundhouse Community Centre and other Vancouver Community Centres for the past 12 years. See our young ballet dancers, Elsie Roy All Star Performers, and the Junior Musical Theatre Troupe showcase their skills from this program.
Wailele Wai Wai: Experience the Aloha spirit through the modern Hawaiian hula known as Auana, which tells a story through hand and arm gestures, and rhythmic patterns.
Tonye Aganaba: Tonye Aganaba is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and facilitator residing on the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Their new album ‘Something Comfortable’ is an intentional and devotional endeavour inspired by their battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Presenting during refreshments, Tonye’s performances are connected and intimate experiences, and evoke a kind of vulnerability that we all hunger for.
