Some Assembly Theatre Company is looking for youth age 13-18 to work as writers/performers with professional playwright and director Valerie Methot and various theatre professionals in the creation and development of a multi-media professional quality production. This new theatre project ‘Strengthening Response to Climate Change’ will be performed for public audiences from May 6-9, 2020, in the Roundhouse Performance Centre.
Some Assembly is in its 19th year of collaboratively creating and producing plays that promote awareness, dialogue, and positive social change regarding issues facing youth. Some Assembly is the recipient of the City of Vancouver Youth Award for outstanding contribution to the youth community and was recently awarded the Deryck Thomson Award for exceptional contribution to community building and wellbeing.

Workshop & Rehearsal Schedule:
Every Thursday from 6-9:30pm starting November 7, 2019 until May 19, 2020. Snacks provided at 5:30pm. Daytime and evening shows will be in the Performance Centre May 6-9. (Participants will miss school for daytime shows and must be able to commit to 100% of the schedule.)

A collaboration between Vancouver Youth and Some Assembly Theatre Company with artists: Valerie Methot, Flick Harrison, Susan Bertoia, Ken Lawson, Allen Morrison, Matt Clarke, Nikki McLaren, Anna Talbot, Athena Ivison, Tina Biello, Latisha Wadhams, Sophie Elder-Labrie, Jeremy Baxter, Jessica Han, and Patrick Graham.
